The House of Seppun
While the other Kami searched the land for troops to join them, Hantei did not sit idly by. He too found those worthy mortals to whom he felt the most kinship. These warriors were to become the loyal house of Seppun.
The Seppun are the foremost defenders of the Imperial Throne and are the only family to live primarily in Otosan Uchi (also known as the Emperor’s Palace, the Shining Throne, and the Forbidden City). They guard the interior of the palace while the Clans defend the exterior. They are fiercely loyal to the Hantei, more so than any of the Great Clans. A Seppun would rather face Fu Leng alone that let anything befall the Emperor and his line.
Colors: Emerald Green and Gold
Daimyo: The Hantei Emperor
Personalities: Seppun Ishikana (Captain of the Palace Guard)
Families:
- Seppun
: The Seppun are the only family to have the honor of joining the Hantei line. While they are not fit for Imperial leadership, they are his personal guard and his last defense.
Dojos:
- Seppun Yojimbo Dojo
: In the Emerald Empire, the Seppun serve one role and one alone, protect the Hantei at all costs. As a result, they are taught but one way, protection. They are the most elite fighting force in all of Rokugan, yet they never march on a battlefield.
Special Notes:
- They Seppun have the ability to learn anything they desire. As a rule no one in the Emerald Guard is a shugenja, but this does not mean that no Seppun knows how to cast spells. Their skills are as diverse as their family. In the end they serve one purpose, protect the throne. To this end, they have and will use any means necessary.
- A Seppun Yojimbo will never leave the Palace unless on special assignment. Most are born and die within the pristine marble walls they defend. In addition to their own extraordinary fighting style, the Seppun may learn anything any other Clan possesses. To refuse them is a grave dishonor.
